Vinyl Banners
Before we get too caught up in technology and forget to take a look back from whence banner advertising started, we should pay homage to the original form of banner-hype: the vinyl banner that was used (and is still used) to call attention for such themes as weddings, sports events, real estate marketing and identification, restaurant openings, and more. The concept of the physical banner was the same as the virtual banner to get attention and withstand the test of time. Vinyl banners can be printed with any image or information, similar to its virtual offspring, and with the advent of online design tools, they can also be designed in any array of colors or text sizes to create the exact message intended to convey. Bu unlike their virtual offspring, vinyl banners can be displayed outdoors in any weather since they are weather-resistant to pretty much any element. So it seems that even though technology marches forward, there might still be a place for a trusted old friend that started the whole revolution to begin with!
